The Brazos County Expo is now open as a large animal shelter. Proof of Coggins is preferred but they have the capability of quarantining those without. Stalls are available for a one-time fee of $20 which includes one bag of shavings and each additional bag is $8.

Harvey has weakened to a Tropical Storm but is still expected to meander over for the next 5 days. A slow track over the area will mean periods of heavy rain from today into at least Wednesday are highly likely.

After making landfall last night as a Category 4 hurricane near Rockport, Harvey has now weakened to a Category 2. Our area remains under a Flash Flood Watch through Tuesday evening. Our area is now under a Tornado Watch until 1 PM today, August 26th.
